Is Zabbix supporting SMS Texting on 4G /5G LTE

We are trying to configure SMS texting on our version of Zabbix. Version 4.4. According to the documentation for that it requires a GSM modem, however the 2 local providers who use GSM will be shutting down their GMS networks in 2022 to focus on 4G and 5G technology. Is Zabbix supporting 4G and 5G SMS capability?

Zabbix does not care about mobile network protocol details. You should be fine as long as your modem supports the standard AT commands for sending SMSes.

Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I'm also on the hunt for similar information regarding Zabbix and SMS capabilities. I'm not entirely sure about Zabbix supporting 4G and 5G SMS, especially when the GSM networks began to phase out in 2022.
