    AIX Calculation FSPERCENT

    Hello,

Please pardon the newbie question, but I have inherited this installation from a colleague who has gone now. I am working through a few anomilies right now, and have been figuring most things out.

But, one thing that I am unable to figure out is AIX-SNMP-hrStorageSize1 - 34. I have a bunch of these, and am really trying to figure out how to list them all and what they correspond to. I've tried everything I know, and a few things I don't.

Is there a way to list out all of these weird little calculated values and waht they are attached to? It seems like they are being built on the fly and just numbered as they come in. They do not seem to be attached to anything other than the original / template.

Thanks for any input I can get, at this point.

    Hello darkwolf29a,
I don't really understadn what you are want to reach. I'm using aix zabbix agent. It is the best way how to monitor aix. SNMP is very limited and not so flexible as zabbix agent way.

    Regards

Does the new agent allow for the templates to follow the names of the file systems?

In my original post, I mentioned the numbers that I have. But, if we receive an alert /var, for example. That might come in as /var or as /lost+found, if the number of the mount point is 3, for example. It seems like the old version of Zabbix is just grabbing an alert based upon the whatever number it finds is above the alerting percentage.

What I would like to see is an alert created for /var at 84% even if that was mounted 5th in line, for some reason.

If the agent will allow for proper reporting of things, we may need to upgrade the appliance... which needs to be done....I think, any way. It's running 1.8. something that is, in my opinion, obscenely, old. The old version does not support our new version of POWERHA 7.1.3, so I have had to turn off the alerting for several processes already, since the new version does not need all of the old process stuff.

I do appreciate your answering this.

      Thanks,

        Hello,
alert is only for right FS for example /var. It is working correctly. Actually I'm using 2.2.9, 2.4.5, 2.4.6. Maybe what you want to change is reporting of trigger. You can change behaviour if Zabbix report overcome value each check or only once. It is in trigger: Multiple PROBLEM events generation
It depend what you want to reach.
Multiple PROBLEM events generation = By checking this option you can set that an event is generated upon every 'Problem' evaluation of the trigger.
        Document is here: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...iggers/trigger

I hope that my undestanding is right.
