Any Ansible Facts Library?
Hi there,
I'm investing some time on Ansible to assess its managed hosts facts discovery capabilities, both in an easy and normalized way with the ultimate purpose of digesting and feeding that information into a CMDB (Configuration Management DataBase).
At this point, I think I've grasped the basics of how facts work and how custom facts can be easily added.
Knowing the existence of Ansible Galaxy, I'm still struggling to figure out, though, how one can find if and which existing collections extend the facts that Ansible gathers out-of-the-box (by out of the box I mean using the setup module without custom facts added to the managed hosts).
Is there a repository, page, git project, etc, where one can find this information without having to go through each collection to find out what it can collect?
Ultimately, are facts the way to go for this use case? Any ideas, suggestions or tips regarding the direction take will be highly appreciated.
