Help required with Service monitoring

Hi

Is there a way with the service monitoring to not trigger on all services that is not running but to rather only trigger on specific services that is relevant and critical to the business of the specific server.

sorry but i dont know what do you mean..

would you like to monito a windows service or a linux service? if you use windows that is with the item:

service_state[service]
0 - running
1 - paused
2 - start pending
3 - pause pending
4 - continue pending
5 - stop pending
6 - stopped
7 - unknown
255 - no such service
