Zabbix 6.0.0 compatibility with PHP 8

Hi, I want to clean install Zabbix but nor able to wait for the final release of zabbix 6.0.0 nor until Ubuntu 22.04 gets final in April.
I decided to go with Zabbix 6.0.0 RC2 and current build of Ubuntu 22.04 and upgrade till stable later.
The problem is, that by Zabbix requirements for version 6 it does not support PHP 8.x:

Ubuntu 22.04 seams to ditch support for PHP versions prior 8.0.
Is Zabbix 6.0 indeed incompatible with PHP 8.0 or this document is outdated?

It seems that support for PHP 8.0 is still under development. It may not be in time for the official release of Zabbix 6.0.0.

Also, I don't recommend using the rc release in a production environment, as the configuration and functionality may change at the time of the official release. If you want to install immediately at this point, you should choose 5.0 LTS or 5.4.

Thank you for advice, is there any real time estimate for Zabbix 6.0.0 LTS to be released?
It was constantly moved lately, first it was scheduled for 2021 Q4, than 2022 January, now we have February and it is still not there. :/

The specific release date has not been announced. The release date may be delayed, so Zabbix 6.0 will have to give up if you need to make a decision now.

      Ok, thanks you. Another question.
I decided to go with Ubuntu 20.04 and upgrade later when ondrej/php with php 7.4 will be available for jammy.
I am still wondering will it be possible to upgrade current 6.0.0rc2 to stable after release? Or this path is absolutely risky in production environment?
I want to avoid converting DB to use PK later, since it will be filled with tons of data and will take hours to convert.

It is useless to argue that it is uncertain what will happen in the end. There is a function that allows you to upgrade as normally as possible between the officially released versions. However, it cannot be concluded that there are no bugs.

Ok, I got you clear, basically what I wanted to hear was are developers take care of upgrade procedures between pre-builds and judging by your answer they are not, so it is absolutely no go. Thank you once again for your patience with me.
