    Export nagios to zabbix (newbie)

    Hi .
We are currently running a "old" but stable Nagios core 3.4.1 may 11, 2012
with about 150 hosts and about 10 sensors per host.

I am running the latest zabbix version on debian and am very pleased about performance and look/feel. and also waiting for the 3.0 release ;-)

my question is : is there a "easy" way to export and import the hosts from nagios to zabbix ???

    Hello,

in short: no! you can try it via the zabbix api but i never try this

i think the best way is do write down what do you monitor on all hosts (maybe CPU load, RAM Usag, disk space, etc) then put thiese things into a template (take alook ind the Windows/Linux template, there are already exist some good items) and then add all you hosts.

After that you can create special templates/items for mailserver, webserver etc..
