    Vmware Hypervisor discovery 2nd Vcenter

    Hi All,

i'm running zabbix 5.4 and currently monitoring our infrastructure with it. Infrastructure containts 1 vcenter with a couple of Esxi hosts and vm's.
Now i need to add an extra vcenter with Esxi hosts to monitor with zabbix. the New and current vcenter + Esxi hosts are on the same subnet.
I tried to add host (Esxi) filled in the macro's that are needed and add as template Vm Macro. but i won't receive any data because in the template VM Macro contains the macro's for the current vcenter and not the new vcenter.
Is there a way to monitor 2 Vcenters and their Esxi hosts or do i need to build a new zabbix server for the new vcenter + Esxi hosts.

    Kind Regards
    Koen

Of course you do not need additional server for that..
You can override those macros on host level or move those macros from template to hosts. Or create intermediate template with credentials and link it to the actual one.

      Hi Cyber,

Thank you for the information. I already thought so. When i override with the macro's I only receive a ping and not other information. the Esxi hosts are on build VMware ESXi, 7.0.3, 19193900. the latest version.
      i'll check on network level.

      Cheers
