    Multisite advice

    Hi.

I am looking for advice on a multisite setup. I am planning on deploying Zabbix to 7 locations - all with unreliable internet connections. For this reason I am planning on deploying the main Zabbix server to AWS and connect each site either by OpenVPN or Wireguard. Each remote site will have a Zabbix proxy server. Does anyone have any advice around this setup?

For the AWS install I am looking into a serverless install. This is mainly to keep costs to a minimum and to learn more about AWS serverless architecture - this might be a terrible idea. Any advice here would be appreciated also.

For a different project I run Zabbix over an OpenVPN server without a proxy. The internet connection as these sites has a SLA. It's been rock solid.

    Thanks.

Whatever "serverless" means this week, for Zabbix server you need an always running instance.

Serverless architecture is a term meaning there's no underlying infrastructure to worry about. It's not my terminology. AWS provide a few tools, Lambda and Fargate to name a couple. I can't find too much information about Zabbix in a such environenvironment. Zabbix works in docker so it should work fine a serverless environment.
