SNMP polls and traps - coupling together

    Hello,

I use SNMP polls and SNMP traps in our Zabbix system, but they works independently.
I would like to force these functions work together. I found some strange solution:
Monitoring is one of the most crucial parts to running any network. There are many tools available to perform network monitoring, some of which are more flexible than others. This quirk looks at th…

but it is not clear for me.

My question - is this the only or the best solution for this scenario?
Or maybe there is another and simpler way?

I can't found any information on the net how to set trigger active (in problem state) and how to fire it manually (I know, that when trigger have solution expression and not problem expression only - it holds last state, up to read opposite state of poll). Is this possible?
    Or something similar, simple?

    Best regards, PP.

Can you provide specific scenario you have and what you want to achieve?
There would not be a single solution to "Make everything work with both my regularly coming data from polling and randomly arriving traps"...

        Hi!

        I solve this using dependecy.
it is easy pretty much. alert from polling interface Operational State is depemdable of snmp trap for the same interface .so if trap comes thsi poll alert will never trigger.
