API call to get hostgroup permissions/rights

Does the v2.4 API provide a method to get the hostgroups a given usergroup has rights to?

It there a patch out there that allows the usergroup object to return it's lists of hostgroups permissions? (e.g. a select_permissions param)

not available currently, coming for 3.0.

there are also completely unsupported patches for 2.4 & 1.8 in that issue (but note that the format in 3.0 will be different)
