    Zabix agent 2.4.7 prooblem

Hi I am new to Zabbix. We just upgraded agent to version 2.4.7 and we continue to get the following error:

cannot send list of active checks to

8530:20151218:105814.571 cannot send list of active checks to [10.1.200.6]: host [Revolver-6] not found

    When I do:

    "cat /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf |grep Hostname="
    # Hostname=
    Hostname=Revolver-6

So, it should resolve the IP to host?

Is this a bug? I also added the proper entries to a host file.

    Thank you

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

This means that you don't have a hosts with exact Host name Revolver-6 added in Configuration -> Hosts.

Once added, this message should disappear from your Zabbix server log.

    Best Regards,

Thank you this fixed the problem. However, I do have the issue with Windows servers. The agent on Win 2008 server is configured with the exact server name as in Zabbix but I still get this error. Should I configured with the FQDN, but this would not make sense? Once again thanks for your help.

        Hi Paul,

You should see the Windows hostname being used in zabbix_server.log as you already did with the Linux agent.

Have you set the "Hostname=" setting manually in agent configuration or is Zabbix obtaining automatically "# Hostname=" setting is commented?

Also the host names are case sensitive, so make sure they match exactly.

        Best Regards,
        Ingus
