I have been working on a zabbix project for 6 months now and at one point we had discovery rules and actions which worked perfectly. The devices would be discovered and then be added as a host and into host groups etc as I would expect.
However, last week we had to delete all the hosts as details about them had changed. This meant they disappeared from discovery inventory, I expected over night for them to return but this has not occurred. I can see in a log we created for it - action log that the actions simply have not been triggered.
We deleted the discovery rules and readded them and again this is failing, we are on 5.4, has anyone else had this problem ?
We have not restarted the zabbix server yet as requires a change, is this the only option ?
