Active check is entering double values

I have a very strange situation. A host has an active check (host has zabbix-agent2 v5.0.21)

net.tcp.service.perf["{$SCHEME}","{$HOST}","{$PORT}"]

{$SCHEME} is http
{$HOST} is localhost
{$PORT} is 8080

Every minute it records 2 values.

I tried to remove the template and clean all items and link template again. Same result. This is a template in use with other hosts without any problem. The issue only seems to effect items with net.tcp.service.perf keys. I even went ahead and deleted the agent database and restarted it to make it fetch items again from server. Result the same.


Any ideas on what else to check? or do?

Hmm actually only for these values, it seems to be getting something from somewhere else. How can I trace which host/IP is sending these?

Nevermind, there was actually a server which sent some duplicate data. But the main question remains, how does one debug this easier?
