zabbix upgrade from 5.2 to 5.4 on docker

    Hi,

I have zabbix 5.2 on docker. I want to migrate to 5.4. From theory it is easy - just change docker templates tag.

But could You, please, tell me how DB will upgrade in this case? Or there something else what should be done?

    And I can't find manual.

    Thank You,

I don't know what configuration you are using, but if you are running Zabbix server and DBMS as separate containers, you can connect the new version of Zabbix server container to your existing database. You will be able to upgrade. Zabbix server is designed to check the version in the database and perform the necessary upgrade process when connecting to the database.
Be sure to make a backup before executing.

Also, Zabbix 5.4 will end support at the end of this month.

Hi, Ok, clear. so I upgrade all containers and need to run database upgrade. That's what I was looking for.

Will try to find database upgrade scripts.

        Thank You,

No database upgrade script is required. The database upgrade function is built in as a feature of Zabbix server process.
