Agent encryption - Self signed certificate or psk ?

Hello everyone,
I have a question, is it ok to use self signed certificate to encrypt the agent or do people usually go with the PSK ?
Am i commiting heresy or not ?

As long as Zabbix can trust it, then it's able to secure your connection.

I went with the psk, but mainly because I wanted a different key for different types of systems.
