SMS through Network GSM Modem

Hello all,

we're running the latest Zabbix Version on a Ubuntu Server VM in a clustered ESXi enviroment, running it on a specific ESXi is the last option.

I know about https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...ions/media/sms, hence me asking.

Is it possible to use the SMS function of a Network GSM Modem, if yes, which model do you use and how does it work?

I once tried this running a vm pinned on a specific esx host which had a usb dongle attached with a gsm carrier. Didn't work that great! I have never seen that many PSOD on a ESX host . I can't recall what kind of GSM carrier modem it was, but I know we moved to an online sms service like Message Bird.
