    Proxy server

    Hello all,

I've a central server outside of my network
and I've just set a new proxy server inside my network.

I'm trying to add a new host to be monitored,
the monitored host have access to both central and local proxy,
however I want him to go thru the proxy in case that my internet connection goes down so that data will continue to aggregate.

In the monitored host do I set the IP or my local proxy server or my central server ?

As if I set my central server the host show that the agent is accessible and monitor is OK, however if I set my local proxy IP the agent go down and not monitor is going on.

    Thanks

    In addition

    In addition,
On the local proxy's log file I can see :
cannot send list of active checks to [10.8.20.37]: host [Zabbix server] not found

10.8.20.37 = The host that I'm trying to monitor
host [Zabbix server] should be the local or the remote zabbix installation ?

When monitoring a Zabbix agent by a Zabbix proxy then the respective Zabbix proxy address has to be deposited as Zabbix server in the Zabbix agent's configuration file.

As for your second question make sure to have the 'Hostname' setting been properly configured (or commented out to use the operating systems hostname).

          Thanks BDiE8VNy

On which side the hostname isn't set properly ?
The proxy server or the monitored host ?

            Found it

The monitored hostname was "Zabbix Server" which was incorrect.

If you want to work with active check you need to have same information in Configuration -> hosts -> Hostname and in zabbix agent on the host.

I dont remember it is case sensitive but i use only capital letters in it as a standard.
