Simple Check - ICMP

Hey,

It's me again

I've set a new host with ICMP template that use Simple Check,
I just want to know if the host is up or not - nothing too fancy.

I can see error in Zabbix log (and also in the GUI) :

fping failed: 10.xx.xx.136: Address family for hostname not supported

I know that fping need special permission which I've already set on my Zabbix server :

#chmod 4710 /usr/sbin/fping
#chown root:zabbix /usr/sbin/fping

when I run fping command on the server outside of Zabbix everything is ok.

Any suggestions ?

Could it be that for any reason fping6 is configured in your Zabbix server/proxy configuration for resolving IPv4 addresses?

Found the problem, SUID was not set.
