zabbix proxy connection changing zabbix server

You are about to change the connection server of the zabbix proxy to another server.

Is it possible to transfer data completely only with the database of the zabbix proxy?

Or do I need a database on the existing zabbix server?

I'm not following, but if your zabbix servers are different environments, you can't really transfer any data. You probably should just drop the proxy database and recreate it. The proxy will always get a fresh config from it's server at startup. It may cache data for the server during an outage, but switching servers isn't a case it's designed for.
