    Zabbix server saturated and Proxys

    Good morning engineers.

    I put them in context:

I have a client that is adding 4000 computers to a Zabbix server.

    The resources are as follows:

    linux ubuntu 20
    31GB ram
    200GB
    xeon processor 2.10 Ghz / 32 CPU / 8 Cores /

It turns out that as you will see, the only server does not support such a number of computers (4000) at the moment it is supporting 300 monitored devices and is in lack of resources, it is tremendously slow.

It was proposed to implement several proxy servers.

    The query is:

How many zabbix proxy servers are required to support the 4000?

Speaking of hardware resources, what is the hardware sizing per proxy server?

I remain attentive dear for your answers.

Its not just amount of hosts, but also amount of items. Pretty big difference if you have 4000x1 or 4000x15..
Is that server running all, frontend, server itself and DB? I would suggest to split it up into 3... and then have maybe 5-10 proxies... depending on how many nvps you need.. Proxies should not run much more than 4-500nvps (IIRC from some Z courses).
I guess a proxy with 2 cpu-s, 8G of mem should be pretty ok...

I agree with cyber, try to optimize your templates, enable only items that you need to monitor and find out if you are okay with the update intervals or you can increase them a little bit. That will reduce nvps and for instance, you will need less proxies.
