    IPMI Monitoring HP Proliant DL360 / DL380

    Hi

I'm trying to set up monitoring for a HP Proliant DL380-Gen8 and two Proliant DL-380-Gen6 Servers. I can successfully query the servers using ipmitool with this command:
    Code:
    #$ ipmitool -H xx.xx.xx.xx -I lanplus -U Monitoring -P Password sensor
    ...
    ...
    36-PCI 2 Zone | 38.000 | degrees C | ok | na | na | na | na | 65.000 | 70.000
    37-System Board | 37.000 | degrees C | ok | na | na | na | na | 70.000 | 75.000
    38-System Board | 35.000 | degrees C | ok | na | na | na | na | 70.000 | 75.000
    39-Sys Exhaust | 31.000 | degrees C | ok | na | na | na | na | 70.000 | 75.000
    40-Sys Exhaust | 33.000 | degrees C | ok | na | na | na | na | 70.000 | 75.000
    41-Sys Exhaust | 33.000 | degrees C | ok | na | na | na | na | 64.000 | 69.000
    42-SuperCAP Max | 20.000 | degrees C | ok | na | na | na | na | 65.000 | 0.000
    Power Meter | 146 | Watts | ok | na | na | na | na | na | na
    ...
    ...
When I create an item for the values, I'm getting unplausible results, for example, I'm getting 2 Watts as a value for the item "Power Meter".

I've successfully set up ipmi-monitoring for a number of fujitsu primergy servers, so I think there is something wrong wich is specific for the HP servers, but I have no idea what the problem is.

I'm using zabbix 2.4.7, the firmware for the HP ILO is up to date.

Can somone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

    Edit:
It lookes like only the temperatures are working correctly: Any other item gets values like "1%" for fans, 2Watts for the PSU Output and so on.

    kind regards,
    errorsmith

What do you see in the GUI? if the values are the same there, it is an issue with the servers.

With Zabbix 4.2 the problem still exists with the power metrics, is there a workaround for it?

As a workaround, I can advise you to get the entire output of the ipmitool sensor command (as text) and using dependent elements to get the desired values.
