Action Condition not working

Hi,

I have configure zabbix to send email notification if trigger severity is "High" and I am getting emails. Now I want to send email for spefic host triggers. I know there is option in Configuration--Action-Condition. But I am confused here.

In new condition I selected Host--like and all host whoes trigger action I dont want as email notification. Because as per zabbix doc they said "Specify hosts or hosts to exclude." But still I am getting notification of these host which I have set in action--condition. Type of calculation is "or". What I am missing here?

if I understand you correctly, you have somthing like this:
contidion: trigger severity or host like or host like or host like etc.

If yes, then an email is going to be sent always when one of this condition is going to be true. In your case condition trigger severity is generating notification and host doesn't really matter.

You should change type of calculation into and/or to have something like this:

trigger severity and (host like or host like etc.)

I want alerts to all events except for the ones that are generated from two templates.

I specified the templates with <> in conditions to my actions but I still keep getting alerts for the events which belong to the templates. I am not sure where I am going wrong.

I've attached the screenshot. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your input Kaspars.
I changed to AND but I still have the alerts coming in from the events generated by unwanted templates and triggers.

i tried today to simulate your situation and it worked as expected with zabbix 3.4.2 (see the screenshot below)
im not getting alarms from Templates Test1 and Test2

the documentation https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...ion/conditions says:

= - event belongs to a trigger inherited from this template.
<> - event does not belong to a trigger inherited from this template.

the ignored triggers must come explicitly from excluded templates

Thanks for testing it out Kaspar. We're running Zabbix 2.4.8.
The alerts I want to stop are from two templates (exclude) and as well as a standalone trigger. The trigger does not belong to the templates we're excluding. I guess I put myself in a weird spot.

Well. I tried and am tired. The solution you suggested is straight forward it's just my setup I guess.

But thanks a bunch of helping me figure it.
