    start windows services from zabbix

    hi

I have Zabbix 2.4.7 installed on Linux Debian.
My question is, howto start windows services on WINDOWS 2008 R2 Server if they go down?
Do I need an agent installed or it should work without an agent?

    Hi,
you can do it with or without the agent installed on destination host.
Obviously with the agent way is more simple because from action menu you can fire the command ('Execute on') on zabbix agent:
    net start servicename

Without you must execute command from zabbix server but you must have some tools like samba (correctly configured).

        Googling I've found this link:
Restart Windows Services from Your Linux PC
but I'm not experienced about Samba.
