How do I: Monitor an SNMP device from the cloud?

How do I: Monitor an SNMP device from the cloud? I am sure there probably is a document, I googled it but didn't find it. If I have a network SNMP device on prem and my Zabbix is in cloud how do monitor the on-prem device. I will need detailed instructions or a link to detailed instructions.

A possible method is to build a Zabbix proxy server on the network where the SNMP device is located and monitor the SNMP device from the Zabbix server via the Zabbix proxy.

interesting, however, if that site is down then Zabbix would report that all the sites dependent on that proxy would be down. As I have 25 small sites this would seem unreliable. Could I run a proxy at each site? Or could firewall at each site allow traffic specific to Zabbix to communicate?

Basically, place a Zabbix proxy at each site. SNMP traffic is only within each site's network. Since a network connection for Zabbix is required between Zabbix server and Zabbix proxy, it will be necessary to configure Firewall etc. according to the configuration.
