    Workarounds for no acknowledgement timeout?

    Hello,

We have deployed Zabbix and are happy with it so far.

We originally came from Icinga2 which has the ability to pause notifications on a service for a certain amount of time. This was handy for times where we still wanted to know about the hosts other
issues while we were waiting for a fix for the issue causing the alert.

Are there any work flows in Zabbix similar to this? We have had a search around before posting and most topics which mention this don't seem to have replies.

Any insight to other work flows for this would be great.

    Thank you.

We looked into using maintenance but it does seem to match what we are trying to do.

As far as I can tell you can put a host into maintenance using pre-defined time periods, we also looked into using tags but because you cannot create a generic
12 hour or 24 hour maintenance period it would not work.

An example we would like to select a triggered alert and acknowledge it for say 24 hours while it is worked on. Ideally once
the 24 hours is up we would like to alert to show again if the problem has not been fixed.

      Hope that makes sense.

Hello, i don't see why maintainance would not work here.

You can generate maintainance periods for 12, 24 hours or what you need and assign it to the host/host group to supress problems
Also adding tags supports filtering for specific problems.

Something like that is a long-requested feature, and it's apparently planned for inclusion in the 6.2.x series.
