Appliance Upgrade - Database format precaution?

    Hi !
I've been using Zabbix as an appliance since version 4.x. Currently I'm running version 5.4.6 and I'm preparing a downloaded 6.0 LTS (6.0.4). The upgrades have been more or less ok so far, sometimes having to drop the zabbix database, recreate and then import. Once I also had issues with the default charset but I've been able to succeed. Today I remember a note I had regarding VMWare macros since Zabbix version 5. They were previously in the format {$URL}= and afterwards {$VMWARE.URL}=. As I was initially using version 4, my current appliance still uses the old format and is working fine. My question is: since I'm always loading the old database into the new appliance, will I get into trouble in situations like this or there's an ongoing effort to maintain retro-compatibility? If not, how should I use the old data into the new appliance?
    Thanks and regards.

So far so good. Still some work to do regarding "Unsupported charset or collation for tables: auditlog, ha_node"...

    Very good information here: https://blog.zabbix.com/a-guide-to-m...ne-2021/18569/
