    HTTP agemt

    Hi All,

I'm new to Zabbix, and just trying to do a simple web call to cucm perfmon call using the http agent, but on Zabbix 6 I don't see the http agent, it that an additional install I need to do. My system is Almalinux, and I installed Zabbix using the packages, in HA mode with HA PGSQL.Thanks for all guidance with this noob lol.

If the installation was successful using the official package, no additional installation is required to use the HTTP agent. Please tell me more specifically what kind of setting you are trying to make on which view.

Thanks for the response I'm trying to monitor Cisco CUCM following this link https://github.com/sulik76/ZabbixCUC...rcesMonitoring but when I goto select agent type, I don't see HTTP there, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong or the way to set it up has change but I can't find documentation. Thanks

There is no HTTP agent for the interface type. The HTTP agent can select the type of item. In the interface settings, if you want to monitor the target host using SNMP, you should select SNMP. If you do not want to monitor using the HTTP agent item without monitoring using SNMP, select the agent.

Thanks for the info, I believe I got it. When I create a host, it's just a shell to hold the template that will call the items that query using an http agent.
