Creating new Host - unreachable , Right way to do?

Hi I need to collect KPI's from HOSTs via rest api interface.
those hosts unreachechable from direct SNMP or Agent managment.
All data comming from curl command - i getting json with KPI.
Question is what the right way :
    1. creating host with WRONG SNMP/ip description (zommbie host will be alwast unreacheable) and add by template items via HTTP AGENT
    2. to create HTTP AGENT items direct on server - description of items will be with host+kpi . in this way will be hard to search diferent host
    Thanks

I suppose you can create a host with "agent" interface that points to 127.0.0.1 on the server.

This way you have hosts that can report problems via trigger tied to those HTTP items.

This way you can identify this problem X belongs to host Y.

If you do not assign any "zabbix agent" templates to these hosts - the IP 127.0.0.1 will not be queried for any agent data.

Only for documentation purposes - you can also use real IP address or hostname of given hosts.
