    Zabbix server setup for Linux

So I was looking at Zabbix to replace a very old Solarwinds installation. I downloaded the pre build OVF and the Zabbix software was great, so I thought I'd build a ground up VM like you are supposed to, but I'm really bad at Linux.

Is there a guide for me to go through that assumes you have no idea what you are doing? I've tried a couple and ran into issues with instructions using both CentOS and Ubuntu, because they assumed I would have some knowledge of Linux commands for some of the database setup and config.

Any help would be appreciated. Once I get to the Zabbix front end I'm golden.

Your best bet would be to get familiar with Linux terminal commands first by watching some crash course on Youtube (see videos of freecodecam.org on the topic, for example). This will take extra 1-2 hours to watch and then maybe 1-2 hours to experiment and practice. But this will pay off, because you'll need to know some Linux shell basics also after you set up front end.

This one was pretty good for me to get up and running. https://youtu.be/q9IZqwB0QOk I built it on Ubuntu 20.04 and it's basically working but the only issue I'm having is problems adding users. I'm thinking I did something wrong in regards to the database security because I'm unable to change any security settings except for the primary user itself. The primary superuser account works fine though and I have been playing around with adding hosts via discovery which is pretty slick. I had SOME experience with Icinga and this is WAYYY better. I'm a bit of a newb on Linux, but I know enough to be dangerous.
