    Detect a new Service

HI All, I haven't been able to figure this out. Feels like it should be obvious but I can't seem to figure this out. I have Zabbix 5.4.12 running on FreeBSD monitoring some Unix and Windows servers. On one server, I installed a new service but Zabbix doesn't detect the new service. I did some research and went to Configuration, Host and Discovery Rules and executed Windows Services Discovery but it still doesn't pick up the new service. Not sure how to accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I assume you are using "Windows services by Zabbix agent" template, right?

"Windows services discovery" has "services of different types defined in template's macros."

    Have you checked your macros?

No I didn't check the macros to be honest. My understanding was that Zabbix automatically checks all services that start up automatically on Windows so I thought executing the windows discovery rules would rescan the box and pick up the new service I installed, but that isn't happening.

Dear me. I am so embarrassed. There was no problem really. I just noticed that the Admin had changed the service startup type to manual. I changed it to automatic and reran the discovery and it picked up the new service.
