Longstanding problem with logging in to the frontend for the first time

So, I finish setting up the Zabbix frontend, it prompts me to enter a username and password; username is already populated with 'zabbix', so I go and choose my password (same as the mysql username for the zabbix database, simply for testing purposes and convenience), however, when I go to login, I get this:



I always endup resetting the password for my users... why? What am I doing wrong?

This is what I get for not reading the documentation properly. I reckon it's a bit confusing though. Intuitively, when creating a user, you're prompted for credentials and then are requested to login with such credentials.
