    Trigger for newly discovered items?

Is it possible to create a trigger that will fire when a discovery creates new items?

We've got a discovery working that creates an item for every piece of software that is installed on a Windows system, and have successfully got triggers that fire when the version number of any of them changes (so we get informed of upgrades etc.).
What I can't figure out is how to fire off an alert when a new item is discovered (so we get informed when any software is added).

Currently using Zabbix 5.0, but with an upgrade to 6.0 in the works if it makes any difference to my options.

    Thanks!

Just create a trigger prototype with condition "item[{#MACRO}].count(#2)=1"
This trigger'd fire when the first value will received, will closed by the second value and will never fired again. Or you may set "OK event generation - none" and close the trigger manually.

In version 6.0.4, such a trigger does not work.
Perhaps because there is no 2nd value and it is not calculated.
The trigger “count(item,#2)=2” works as expected.

Just tested on 6.0.3 and 6.0.5, works well.
But I agree, using undocumented functionality is risky

Maybe it doesn't work for me because the item is string?
Or is the problem that I use a proxy?
