Proxy remote commands executed when proxy is offline?

Hi.

We would like to implement some recovery operations from remote Zabbix proxies, like for example if the proxy is offline, run a remote command which reboots the router.

I was wondering: are those commands executed even if the proxy is offline? What kind of logic is downloaded from the server when proxies update their config?
