Using Zabbix to monitor a Windows XP machine

    Hello,
I am trying to monitor a Windows XP machine using Zabbix (Installed on Debian), and I cannot get the 1.1 agent to work. I followed the directions on the Zabbix website, and still am unable to get the agent working. On the Windows XP machine I get the following error in the zabbix_agentd.log

Active checks [Cannot connect to [192.168.1.240:10051] [No error]]

I guess what has me confused is that the Debian machine is actively monitoring itself which should use the same port (default), but it seems that Windows is unable to connect to that port.

I used the same syntax that was found in the UNIX/LINUX agent file to create the Windows file.

    Any Ideas?

can you telnet to that port on the zabbix server from the windows XP box? Maybe you have a firewall config on the server that isn't allowing connections in...?

Can you post your windows agent config file so we can see what your setup is?
