Are simple checks always from proxy or server?

    The manual at https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../simple_checks
says "Simple checks are normally used for remote agent-less checks of services." But I use "net.tcp.service.perf" and it seems to be executed by zabbix-agent2 on the host. I use localhost/127.0.0.1 for target which the zabbix server can't reach. The result timings are also very low, suggesting a local connection.

Is the manual incorrect or maybe I have to re-check my facts?

    Thanks!

Read and think. Will you find the error yourself?

Hamardaban sorry I seem to have missed your response I am not sure what you mean is the error.
      https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../simple_checks is correct?
Do you mean it depends on if check is set for Zabbix Agent then uses agent?
      Then there is no error?

I was hoping that you would be able to find mistake on your own. Apparently it didn't work out. :-)
OK - I will write directly: there are completely similar keys net.tcp.service (net.tcp.service.perf) but of different types!
One is a simple check (and is done by the server or proxy) The second is zabbix_agent (and is done by the agent locally)

yep... same is with net.udp... items . Execution place is chosen depending on the item type you choose. If "simple check", then on proxy/server. If "agent", then on agent.

Thank you, I understood that they work differently when agent is used. I was not sure what was the error that you mentioned. It was mine apparently... Thank you again!
