connect a zabbix proxy to a new zabbix server

    Hello everybody.
Some time ago we configured a Zabbix proxy, in passive mode, on the internal network connected to a zabbix server in the cloud.
Following several problems, the Zabbix Server become unreachable and subsequently unrecoverable. We have no backup of this server.
We have prepared a new zabbix server, which is currently empty.
The problem is that when we join the proxy to the new server, all the proxy confs is eliminated.
From the proxy DB backup we have recovered the configuration of the proxy.

So, do you know if is there a way to connect the proxy to the server and make the server "inherit" the configurations from the proxy.

    Thank you.
    M.

all the proxy confs is eliminated.
Could you please explain what it means? Is the proxy removed automatically from a host?

      Hi,
when I connect the old proxy to the new server, in the DB of proxy all customized information about my hosts, template, ecc is deleted,
I think because the new server does not have configurations so push to the proxy the empty configurations.
I hope I was clear, let me know if you have any questions.

There is no way to reverse-engineer the original host configurations based on the configs that were pushed to proxies. See server-proxy communications protocol: there is no information about the templates for example.
