    Debian 10, upgrade to 6.2

    Hello,

im trying to upgrade 6.0.3 to 6.2.

i delete old repos, upgrade repo to 6.2 ( done - zabbix.list is 6.2) - apt doesnt show zabbix server as upgradable , zabbix agent only. in case of further upgrade i get : zabbix-server-mysql is already the newest version (1:6.0.3-1+Debian10).

then i tried to upgrade to 6.0.6 and everything goes well, but 6.0.6 to 6.2 - is stucking just the same.

zabbix agent is upgradable , zabbix server is already the newest version 6.0.6

Any tips? Or do I have to wait for it to be LTS?

    Thanks.

Hi, see the repo directory: https://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/6.2/d...main/z/zabbix/

I don't see any server package there for Debian 10. Most probably it is because Debian 10 does not have all the required component versions that Zabbix server 6.2 uses.

I would do the normal system upgrade from Debian 10 to Debian 11 (using the official Debian upgrade documentation, never failed for me, YMMV), then Zabbix 6.2 server installs just fine.

        Thank you for your reply,

Do you think that soon Zabbix 6.2 will be available for Debian 10, because on the upgrade documentation they say that we can upgrade but only for the agent currently?

        Thanks.

          I don't think so. References:

          Zabbix upgrade notes: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...ed-php-version
          (minimum PHP version: 7.4)

Debian PHP package for Debian 10: https://packages.debian.org/buster/php
          (PHP version: 7.3)

(Of course that is just one aspect of it but the point is that Debian 10 is from 2019 and Zabbix 6.2 is from 2022, so it is realistic to require more modern components.)

Yes, Zabbix developers confirmed to me that Debian 10 gets agent packages only.

              Thank you for your answers,

I think a statement from Zabbix to inform that the next versions will not support debian 10 was not refused.
