Restoring historical data for when a host is re-added to Zabbix Server

Greetings Community. I'd like to present to you a scenario that at least one, if not many, can relate to.

I am running CentOS 8 Stream with Zabbix 5.0.25-1

If a host is removed, along with its items, from the Zabbix Server, how long would this usually take to be removed completely from the database?
If a host is restored in Zabbix Server after having been deleted (effectively re-added), is it possible to have the historical data re-associated with it?

Or is the historical data gone for good upon host deletion?

    Asking for a friend...

I'd say that the delete operation in GUI does just that: deletes the host object along with its items etc. So it happens right away.

Adding a host with the same name does not reuse the same hostid AFAIK so it is a totally different host from the system perspective.
