    I want the IFDESCR of the SNMPVALUE discovery rule

    I have a masterswitch with connected slave switches.
    Ik can find the slave switches with:
    discovery[{#SNMPVALUE},.1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.24.1.1.1.3]

    And the switch ports should be something like:
    {#IFDESCR},.1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.24.2.1.1.5.1.20. {#SNMPVALUE}

    Something like this?
    discovery[{#SNMPVALUE},.1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.24.1.1.1.3,{#I FDESCR},.1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.24.2.1.1.5.1.20.{#S NMPVALUE}]
    It dus not work

    Just remove the extra SNMPVALUE:

    discovery[{#SNMPVALUE},.1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.24.1.1.1.3,{#I FDESCR},.1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.24.2.1.1.5.1.20]

    See for example https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/...t/generic_snmp, it has even more OIDs:

    discovery[{#IFOPERSTATUS},1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8,{#IFADMINSTATU S},1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.7,{#IFNAME},1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1 .2,{#IFDESCR},1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2,{#IFTYPE},1.3.6. 1.2.1.2.2.1.3]

      Thanks Markku,

      The discovery[{#SNMPVALUE},.1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.24.2.1.1.5.1.2 0]
      creates an snmpindex with the changing values 200304.1, 200304.2 -- 200322.1, 200322.2
      Very smart zabbix functionality.
      It makes it very easy.
      I just needed a push in the right direction.
