Add local host via Zabbix Proxy to Zabbix Server on VPS

    Hello Zabbix guys,

I am trying to add my local devices as a host on Zabbix Server. My Zabbix Server is located on VPS and I han ave OpenVPN tunnel between Zabbix Server and Zabbix Proxy in local network.
Zabbix Proxy also has Zabbix agent on it and this Zabbix agent is online on Zabbix Server. I have tried to create local host (192.168.x) on Zabix server and select the moderated proxy but I am not how can I add my devices like as internet modem that has not snmp on it and some other IoT devices. Technically how can we monitor ping live on IoT devices that has not SNMP enabled?

Please give me some clue to find my question.

    Thank You

Hi, for pinging you can use for example the ICMP Ping template from https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/...dule/icmp_ping. Create a host for your IoT device using the "agent interface", use IP address or DNS name, assign the template, and set it to be monitored by your proxy.
