    Veeam Backup through eventlog

    Hello everybody!

I would like to introduce myself, here Daniel, sysadmin of a company in Andorra. I just received my ZCS and I'm struggling since a few days looking for a solution to a small problem, could you enlighten me with your wisdom?
I am trying to make a template to be able to monitor Veeam B&R results by reading the Windows eventlog. I've been trying two approaches, but I'm trying to do it in the most professional way possible.

Veeam stores the events I want to log through 4 eventid's (150, 190, 450 and 490), but each eventid has its own result in the description (Success, Warning and Failure).
    1. Option one (the easy one)
      • Create an item for each eventid including the status:
        • eventlog[Veeam Backup,(?i)Failed,,,^150$,,skip]
      • And then 12 triggers (3 states x 4 eventids):
        • find(/Veeam/eventlog[Veeam Backup,,,,^150$,,skip],1,"like","Failed")=1
    2. Second option (the cooler way?)
      • Create an item with all eventtids:
        • eventlog[Veeam Backup,,,,^150|190|450|490$,,skip]
      • And then the same 12 triggers, but with a double condition:
        • logeventid(/Veeam/eventlog[Veeam Backup,,,,^150|190|450|490$,,skip],,"150")=1 and find(/Veeam/eventlog[Veeam Backup,,,,^150|190|450|490$,,skip],#1,"like","Failed")=1
The first option works, the second one doesn't launch the triggers. I think the right thing to do is to get all the information through a single element and then filter with the triggers, am I right?
I know both approaches may not be the best, but as I said I am still learning? could you please give me a hand?

    Thanks!

It is easier to set up sending the results of the work of tasks via SNMP traps and check this on zabbix.
Items are also created automatically for each job using lld. if you are interested, I can publish a script.

Ok, I'll try it that way, I was just too focused on the logs to think about the traps... thanks for the suggestion Hamardaban!

Check the script execution from cmd.

The script needs the VeeamPSSnapin module, it is installed together with Veeam Backup & Replication 11 otherwise you will get the error "Add-PSSnapin : The Windows PowerShell snap-in 'VeeamPSSnapIn' is not installed.", but you can install it separately. You also need PowerCLI 10 and higher.

VeeamPSSnapin is included in the distribution package, the file is responsible for this BPS_x64.msi

Ah I increased Timeout to 20, and DebugLevel to 5:

Sending back [WARNING: This cmdlet is no longer supported for computer backup jobs. Use "Get-VBRComputerBackupJob instead."

        "Id","Name","JobType"

        "id","Backup35","EpAgentBackup"]

Now there is no more error message, but the items are not generated

Cannot create item: item with the same key "snmptrap["{#NAME}"]" already exists.

but there is not a duplicate item, ive tried everything
