Dell switches - port status

Dear members,

I have a Zabbix server with approximately 250 interfaces or devices. Switch models that are in use is Dell N1524P and Dell N1548P. I want to set a port status for this switch models (port is down, port is up) but I don't know how to do this. Also, I can't see a Dell switch template inside Zabbix, this need to be setup manually. In this moment, I have only ICMP template but port status is very necessary. Can someone help me to find a solution for this? One trigger or some template?

Hi Alexandar,
you could simply start from the "Interfaces SNMP" template which is already included in Zabbix.
It contains a discovery rule and some item prototypes that should work with any standard SNMP enabled switch.
