Hey everyone,
i want to upgrade my zabbix-server 2.4.0 to 3.2 and have some question about it, which i can't get from reading the documentation from the official zabbix wiki. Maybe you have upgraded your system and you can give me some useful advices.
My first question is: Should i update my zabbix-agents on the clients? I have red, the communication between the zabbix-server and the agents is not interrupted, if you don't want to encrypted your communication.
But what is for windows? I red the itemkey "service_state[service]" is not supported anymore, therefore it will exists "service.info[service,state]". Isn't still no need to upgrade the zabbix agent on windows machines?
Can i upgrade from the existing packages? Or should i upgrade from source?
When i make the installation with the packages. What happens with the current zabbix-server? Will be the current zabbix-server just overrided? Or will i have two zabbix-servers on my host?
So you know, that i'm knowing nothing
And i want to apologize my bad englisch!
have a nice day.
mira
