Host in Zabbix

Hi

I watched some youtube manual of agent installation (Win\linux) for Zabbix).
In some of the videos it has been said that the hostname of the monitored OS itself (1), should be exactly as the hostname configured in zabbix_agentd.conf(2).
And both should be as the hostname inside the Frontend server(3).

Now, from what I've checked - all three parts could be totally different and everything works fine . . .
For example the OS hostname could be "AAA", the agent file contains "BBB" and the Frontend server hostname could be "CCC"

So, if someone can explain what happens here - how exactly it should work, I will really appreciate.

*not include auto register just simple agent install.

There is no problem if the host name on the host OS and the value of Hostname in the zabbix_agentd.conf file are different. But, the Hostname in zabbix_agentd.conf and the Host name configured on the Zabbix frontend must match. Otherwise, items with item type 'Zabbix agent(active)' cannot be monitored.
