    Zabbix 3.0 SNMP Traps Configuration

    Hi everybody

I'm pretty new to the Zabbix scene and I'm trying to configure a SNMP Trap to get reports from my HP P2000 G3. The only trap I want to receive is whenever a disk 'died'.

Although there is a manual on the Zabbix.com site itself, it does not cover any configuration for SNMPTT for ubuntu 14.04, neither does google, neither does snmptt.org itself.

So my question is, could anyone please help me out here and guide me through the configuration of this SNMP trap?

    Really appreciated!

Edit: Following the guide at https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...pes/snmptrap?s , I'm stuck at 3.2

Enable snmp trapper process in Zabbix. Create item like snmptrap[died] (or whatever regexp that matches your trap event). Configure action.

Doens't the server need to be configured to catch and read the traps? Because that's the part where I'm stuck at.

Enable it (snmp trapper) first. Then create items.
