Help template configuration

Hello,
I try to add a template to my Zabbix server but I can't find detailed instructions on how to do it so far.
I guess the answer is very obvious but ...
I found this https://share.zabbix.com/cat-app/web...-check-freebsd to check certificates on FreeBSD.
For the template it's simple I imported the template on Zabbix server.
But where should I put the script ?
Do I have to configure something or put the script in the right place and make it executable ?

You can create item with type External check and use your script as this check.
