vmware discovered hosts

I noticed I cannot add an interface to any of these hosts, the "Add" button isn't there. But if I manually create a host I can add as many interfaces as I want. Anyone know why?

Because, they are all the same, as host prototype in discovery. You can add interfaces to those VMs, if you change prototype. And then it affects all of your discovered hosts.

But I just want to add a SNMP interface to a few of the auto discovered hosts, and I don't seem to have the flexibility to do that which seems strange because I can still add extra items and triggers to a host. So why not a new interface too?
