I've really been trying to understand how to implement this software, and if an agent is compatible it seems to work pretty well out of the box. It's for all of our older systems (Mainly CentOS 6.x) that is going to be a problem.
SNMP: I will configure hosts that are agent incompatible with SNMP interfaces, because we do not use IPMI. Where do I specify all of the connection details for SNMPv3? The only fields to populate are IP/DNS name and SNMP port #. I need to specify a lot more information about how SNMP is configured for it to work.
Also, am I going to have to extract and describe every single OID of every single MIB for every device monitored via SNMP? Is there no discovery?
SSH: The SNMP hosts have absolutely no SNMP connectivity, so I've configured a template to run commands via SSH. I can't for the life of me make a template collect data, I always have to create the items directly attached to the host to make them work. Is this a bug, or am I doing it wrong?
Documentation: Are there ever going to be any videos walking people through these monitoring scenarios? The setup was troublesome, but with some help from these forums we made it through. This interface is not intuitive, I'm really hoping for more guidance.
