Hello, Zabbix gurus.
I try to monitor the results of backup jobs made by Veeam Backup. Each job has it's weight (importance from 1 to 100) in it's name, i.e. "Mail server (weight: 100)"
The items I get from eventlog on backup server, sent by Agent2.
The idea is to group the hosts by backup result ("Success", "Warning", "Failed") and calculate the sum of weights and thus to get a total weight of each group for a period, sort of backups KPI.
I have Zabbix 5.0.26. There are no item tags in this version and no aggregated calculations. As far as I understand, I need them (tags for grouping, aggregated calcs for total weight in group)
Do I need to upgrade to 6.0 to do what I need, or it can be done in 5.0.26?
Please show me the way how to do it, schematically.
The item types are predefined and I cannot add an extra parameter "weight" to them, right?
So should I make an calculated item dependent on event log value and preprocess to extract weight from it?
How can I combine those items then, so I could show them on the dashbord as groups? Like:
Group: Success
Hosts: "Mail server", "Web Server", "SQL Server"
Total weight: 270
Group: Warning
Hosts: "Terminal server1, "Terminal Server 2"...
Total weight: 200
Group: Fail
Hosts: "TS3", "TS4"
Total weight: 200
