I am certainly a newbie. I searched for articles relating to my problem but did not find anything so here is the question.
I used to be a PRTG user and now that I am at a new company, they didn't have anything place for monitoring. I installed the free PRTG and was able to get all the data from the HP Aruba 2530 switches. This was a temporary solution to have some visibility.
2 weeks ago I installed the Zabbix VMware application and I am trying to monitor the same switches. I am not getting any data. I am using the HP-Enterprise Switch template and have the SNMP community strings set properly. I have one HP2920 with the same template applied and it is working perfectly fine.
Looking for suggestions. It this a template issue, or an age of the switch issue.
If I do an SNMPwalk from the zabbix server, I do see switch specific data.
Thanks,
Todd
